During the writing of My Blood Runs Blue, I spent a lot of time listening to the soulful and mourning sounds of Evanescence. One of the songs that touched me the most during the writing was Missing. While the character Ofc. Kristin Greene is driving around in chapter one she is listening to this song on the radio and thinking about it.

Many of Evanescence songs touched me during the writing of book one. Originally each chapter would have started off with a verse from one of there songs, but royalties are just a tad bit more then I wish to pay right now.
